Description

The Department of Natural Resources ANeMoNe program is currently seeking volunteers to be Site Guardians for our Case Inlet and Anderson Cove monitoring sites. Site guardians visit the monitoring site once every other week and perform a bird survey, eelgrass survey, and check our water sensors for biofouling. Work is approximately two hours per visit.

We provide training and gear. In general, this work does not require background knowledge or experience but there is of course lots of opportunity to learn!

Inclement Weather Plan: There are multiple opportunities per tide series to get into the field - site guardians are given the low tide window calendar and are able to choose the date that works best for them. Visits are not expected if inclement weather occurs for the entire tide series.
