Who We Are
SEA Discovery Center is an educational resource built by the community to serve the community. Originally conceived in the 1960s as the Poulsbo Marine Science Center and located on the shores of Liberty Bay, SEA has served as a marine education resource for the Kitsap community and school districts for more than 50 years.
What We Do
SEA Discovery Center's mission is to inspire stewardship of the Salish Sea. We do this by connecting the community to the animals, habitats, people and cultures of the region through experiential aquarium experiences, school visits, online information and community collaborations.
SEA is open two-days a week for the public, admission by donation, and runs a school field trip program for Kitsap schools in the fall and spring.
SEA's volunteers are ambassadors for SEA Discovery Center and play an integral part in SEA’s role as an aquarium and community space where we come together over a shared love of the ocean.
We hope you will visit us soon and learn more!
