Community Frameworks, a non-profit housing developer and lender, has over 45 years of experience creating affordable housing solutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are an active local partner in our “home” communities. Elsewhere in our service area, we build local capacity where it can be sustained and provide services where it can not. We focus on rural area and disenfranchised urban neighborhoods. We both “do” and “teach” with experience in direct bricks and mortar development and helping others to succeed

Built in Bremerton buys dilapidated and vacant Bremerton homes and rehabilitates them into quality, affordable homes. Built in Bremerton offers affordable homeownership opportunities within the city limits by matching income-qualified homebuyers with freshly renovated homes, down payment assistance, and affordable monthly mortgage payments. While much of the work is completed by licensed contractors, there is a lot that volunteers can do to help too!

A Typical Volunteer Day -We are looking for volunteers from the community to help us do light construction and renovation on homes in the midst of rehabilitation. Tasks will vary from house to house, but typically are things like:

Demolition, Painting, Fence Install, Landscaping, Power Washing… & more!  

-----ALL skill levels are welcome and appreciated----

2-4 hour time commitment for most tasks, though sometimes we just need a little help for an hour or so, and other times we need folks for a full day – Let us know what amount of time you have to spare / how often, and we will match you with the right volunteer opportunities!

How to Get Involved

Individuals – Contact us to join our volunteer pool and you will receive notices for upcoming volunteer events. We expect to have at least one event quarterly.

Groups- We have the opportunity for groups to participate in their own volunteer day/event based on the group’s schedule, numbers and goals!
