Poulsbo Parks And Recreation

The department is the primary provider of community recreation programs in North Kitsap for youth and adults. This includes the planning and implementation of community wide special events; partnering with other agencies and organizations to provide programs; and conducting capital acquisition, development, operation and stewardship of city parks.

The mission of the parks and recreation department is to promote the quality of life by serving the community's needs for quality and affordable educational and recreational programs, parks and services to all residents and visitors. The department was created in 1995. Since that point, there have been a variety of park improvement projects that have done everything from building playgrounds to planting trees. The community supports the projects through hard work and dedication in order to make Poulsbo a better place to live.
