Who We Are

Seattle Goodwill is a nonprofit organization founded in 1923. We currently operate 9 Job Training Centers, 24 retail stores and 38 donation sites in King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Kitsap counties. We employ 1,800 people and follow WA State compensation laws.

We believe in the potential of individuals to make positive changes in their lives

  • We believe education and training empower people to make those changes
  • Our vision for the communities we serve is that each person is able to choose rewarding employment, obtain financial security, and experience educational achievement
  • Because of our work, people are building their futures, families are strengthened, and our communities are enriched

Goodwill helps people with multiple barriers to employment achieve economic independence through work. Go to this link for more information on our job training programs: http://www.seattlegoodwill.org/job-training-and-education

What We Do

Goodwill is a non-profit organization that has been serving north Puget Sound for over 90 years. We operate 24 retail thrift stores in this region. Merchandise for our stores comes from generous donations of quality, new or reusable items from the public. Sales of these donations and financial contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations support Goodwill's free job training and education programs. Each year these programs help thousands of individuals get the skills they need to become economically self-sufficient through work. y.
