Who We Are

CSTOCK is a volunteer-based community theater that presents 5 full-scale productions each annual season and runs a full summer program for children and youth (Camp CSTOCK).  CSTOCK is committed to offering artistic opportunities for all ages, with an emphasis on youth leadership and development.

Over the years, as arts funding has been cut from our schools' budgets, CSTOCK has increased opportunities for young people to learn music and theater. CSTOCK produces mostly musicals and has provided a stage for many talented artists in Kitsap County.  These connections have strengthened and the actors benefit from working with arts professionals.  CSTOCK also opens its stage to local dance studios for performances.

CSTOCK believes that our community needs to train a new generation of leadership.  CSTOCK's youth programs have not only helped to produce some outstanding young people who have gone on to colleges to study performing arts and on to successful performing arts careers.  But CSTOCK's vision has also been to produce leaders in addition to good actors and musicians.  CSTOCK gives young people opportunities to learn, lead, and teach -- skills that carry them far in any profession.  CSTOCK is reaping some of the benefits of training leaders today, as three of CSTOCK's board members, including both the past and current Presidents, grew up performing and working behind the scenes at CSTOCK.  CSTOCK also invites the Student Committee liaisons to participate in board meetings as non-voting members.

CSTOCK desires to keep quality productions affordable for families.  There is no cost to actors of any age to be involved in the theater's regular season shows, and ticket prices have been cut to make seeing a show more affordable.  At the same time, general expenses have increased, including rental of the Silverdale Community Center, which has gone up by more than $300 a month.

No organization is in a better position for casing a powerful vision and determining a solid plan of action than CSTOCK.  Building on over 25 years of proven success, CSTOCK is poised and ready to forge the new frontier for our community theater! CSTOCK is asking for community residents and local area businesses to partner with us and become and active, contributing part of our growth and success.  CSTOCK seeks funding to support the theater's expanding programs so that the theater can continue to offer excellence in the arts to our youth and the entire community.
