Who We Are

America’s Boating Club of Bremerton (aka Bremerton Sail and Power Squadron) is part of the America’s Boating Club, a non-profit boating organization dedicated to helping people enjoy boating activities safely. Our membership includes all types of boaters and boating families (power, sail, and paddlers), novices and experienced boaters alike. You don’t need a boat to join; just have a keen interest in boating-related activities and an eagerness to meet others who do.

We have many enjoyable on-the-water and land-based activities, including boating activities, social events, learning opportunities, and other get-togethers. Many boating activities are held on nearby waters, but we also organize longer cruises and join boating activities hosted by other squadrons. Check out our The Squawk Box and Events Calendar to see what is currently going on.

We provide many quality and affordable classroom courses and seminars led by skilled and experienced volunteer instructors. We cover a full range of topics from basic boating to advanced education in navigation, boat handling and operation, and boat systems and maintenance. Many of our classes include supplemental on-the-water skill demonstrations and supervised practice to help our students gain more confidence in their knowledge and ability to apply it. Our classes are open to members and non-members alike, and members enjoy preferred pricing on classes. Visit our Courses and Seminars page to learn more about our programs.

We enjoy being part of our local community and give back through our service activities. We are active community volunteers and help to make the water a better place for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to give back to the boating community, consider participating as an instructor, vessel safety examiner, or community service volunteer.
