CCS Volunteer Services provides FREE transportation to seniors & people with disabilities.  Taking them to doctors appointments, shopping, errands or even church.  These clients do not qualify for other services and rely on our community volunteers for transportation. 

With the ease of our computer scheduling , you choose when you are available to Volunteer!  Additional insurance coverage & mileage reimbursement is provided.

501 Commons provides high quality, affordable consulting, coaching and training services to nonprofits, schools, and public agencies thanks to a corps of skilled volunteers who put their expertise to good use. As an HR consultant with 501 Commons you can help support nonprofits on projects such as:

• Developing effective selection and recruitment process
• Assisting a nonprofit in recruiting staff members
• Conduct compensation study and advise the organization on equitable and responsible remuneration for staff
• Reviewing and updating employee handbook for compliance with federal and state law while being aligned to an organization’s mission, vision and culture.
• Creating a thoughtful performance management system

The Service Corps, a program of 501 Commons, is dedicated to connecting the skills and expertise of volunteer consultants with organizations in need of planning and support. Volunteers are in an on-call “pool” of professionals whom we contact when a specific project calls for their skill set. You decide if the project and timing are of interest to you. If it’s not the right time, we place you back in the pool to await the next opportunity.

While the requirements of each project vary, on average consultants can expect to serve 10-12 hours per month for 2-4 months.

As a service corps member, you will:

• Learn new skills applicable to personal and professional situations
• Apply your background and expertise towards supporting the nonprofit community

StandUp for Kids has been dedicated to the mission of ending the cycle of youth homelessness coast-to-coast for more than 30 years, while we consistently earn the highest ratings possible from industry watchdogs like Charity Navigator and Guidestar!

Founded in 1992, StandUp for Kids - Kitsap County is an all-volunteer chapter that assists unaccompanied, homeless, and at-risk youth ages 12-24 with basic necessities, and collaborates with other community partners to provide these teens and young adults the support they need to help them transition from surviving to THRIVING!  We have many volunteer opportunities available, so give us a call! 

We are seeking volunteers to help receive and sort donations from the community.  We have continued to accept donations, so there is a continual need for volunteers to sort the items (clothing, toys, and miscellaneous) and put them into corresponding bins.  Volunteers are also needed to fill orders made by our provider partners, who will then deliver the items to the families and children in need.

The Salvation Army's Soup Kitchen is open for free meals with Breakfast served at 8:00 AM and Lunch served at 12:00 PM. 

We need volunteers that can come volunteer on a regular basis and on-call.  Volunteer Hours available are 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM/Monday thru Friday. 

No cooking experience required just the desire to serve your community!

Would like a volunteer interested in working with children ages 12 months to 5 years old by helping core teachers with cleaning, organizing, planning, etc.  Would help children go to sleep at naptime and provide supervision during that time.  This would be on a consistent basis.  

The St. Vincent de Paul Bremerton Thrift Store seeks 2 volunteers for the jewelry department. Volunteers choose one or two days per week to work, days to choose from are Monday through Friday.

We at the Central Kitsap Food Bank serve the community by alleviating food insecurity.  At the same time, we want to present our Food Bank at its best.  We are looking for volunteers that can come in for an hour and do full clean to prepare for the next day.  This position is for Thursday from 1-2.  We are closed on all Federal Holidays.  Please contact J’aime our volunteer coordinator at info@ckfoodbank.org if you are interested. 

We are in need of volunteers to help us escort our clients through our food bank, assisting them in food selection. You would escort our clients throughout their shopping here at the food bank. There also will be some restocking of shelves as well. We will provide masks and gloves for you, if needed.  We are open M-F, 9:30 to 2:00 for volunteers, but our key hours in the grocery are 10 to 1:15, Monday through Friday.

We want to host a construction tutorial video series and NEED YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER SKILLS!

The ideal candidate would be willing to direct, shoot and edit a series of short tutorial videos with direction from our marketing staff. Other video ideas include short documentary-style story-telling and interviewing.

Routine care and cleaning of animal housing and living spaces. Engaging our animals with compassion and patience, as most came from traumatic and abusing living environments before finding their forever home at One Heart Wild. Grooming and relationship building with the animals naturally flow into the volunteer experience.

Grant Evaluators Trained volunteer grant evaluators provide the foundation with valuable assistance in offering local perspective on community needs, and sharing objective findings about grant proposals' fit with KCF funding objectives. Volunteer grant evaluators review the organizations that apply to KCF for grants, producing both verbal and written reports. Grant Evaluator Qualifications Skills required include general knowledge of the community and its non-profit sector; ability to analyze and compare grant applications impartially; ability to communicate concisely, both orally and in writing; understanding of the variety and complexity of community needs; ability to value a diversity of charitable activities in the community; and ability to exercise discretion with confidential information.

Kitsap Homes of Compassion provides permanent supported housing for individuals that are homeless and suffer with a debilitating disorder- physical or mental health.  We need House Managers to commit to support our homes.  Each home needs a volunteer to be a point of contact, ensure that everyone in the house is safe and treated fairly.  House Managers typically spent 10-15 hours a week on site, over the phone or texting with residents and helping them to be at home.  Each home has around 3-5 residents.

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) develops and provides affordable housing to over 3,900 low income, homeless and formerly homeless people. We assist those we serve in maintaining stable housing and increasing their self-sufficiency through a range of supportive services, and advocate for just housing policies at the local and national levels.

 This position will assist with the fulfillment of needs of the residents of LIHI properties. The purpose of the fulfillment of needs to the residents is based on the non-affordability outside of rent because of the low income threshold they are placed in.

Meeting the needs of residents, individuals and families will make their incomes more sustainable to pay their rent and utilities and remain housed, healthy, financially responsible, stable and secure.

The Extreme Tween Club is looking for volunteers for our after-school program.  We need tutors and mentors, helpers for arts/crafts and people wanting to impact youth in a postive way.

We will also be doing a variety of projects with our Extreme Tweens this year incluging gardening and cooking that will require additional volunteers.

We meet from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Thursdays.

Graduate Strong hosts school and community Welcome to Your Future events throughout the year. The event allows youth to explore careers they are interested in, learn about what education journey is necessary for the career, as well as the earning potential for the career. Youth navigate through a simulation where they "spend" their monthly salary for their career of interest to consider their lifestyle choices related to housing, utilities, food and other living expenses. 

We are interested in volunteers willing and able to assist at these events throughout the year- little to no training is required. No prior knowledge or experience necessary but could be somewhat helpful. 

Interested volunteers will be contacted when events are scheduled throughout the year during the day and in the evening. The time commitment for each event is approximately 1-2 hours. 

If you walk into an Oasis Center, you are going to walk into a lot of fun! Friday Late Nights offer a special night during the week for kids to participate in pool and basketball tournaments and eat a dinner together. Field trips take kids to new places and outside experiences. And every day there are activities, games, discussions, and snacks.

In all that happens, we want youth to know there is a safe place for them to grow and be surrounded be people who will encourage them on to freedom and fullness.
