Who We Are

We are a non-regulatory organization working cooperatively with private landowners to address water and soil concerns. We collaborate with farmers, residents, and businesses to work toward conservation goals. We offer technical assistance to landowners to help preserve our natural resources.

What We Do

Ag Technical Assistance

Well-designed conservation practices increase farm productivity while protecting water quality and reducing soil erosion. We combine technical help with cost-share incentives to support good stewardship of natural resources. We partner with the Kitsap County Surface and Stormwater Management Program.

Backyard Habitat - Stream Restoration

Connect the dots for wildlife by improving habitat in your yard. We may have grants available for stream restoration projects. Typical grants range from $300 to $10,000. Individual landowners, local organizations, conservation groups and others are encouraged to apply

Rain Gardens & LID

Add beauty to your landscape while helping to cool and clean stormwater runoff. Rain gardens are landscaped depressions that collect runoff generated from impervious surfaces such as roofs, driveways, parking areas and other hard surfaces. We can provide technical assistance and up to $1000 worth of financial assistance toward rain gardens and other LID projects!

GRACE Project

The GRACE Garden Project features a ¾-acre community garden located at the Kitsap Conservation District, with on-site demonstrations of conservation methods, low-flow irrigation design, and season extension techniques.
