Who We Are

OUR MISSION

YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

OUR COMMITMENT

YWCA is committed to the belief that all individuals are entitled to quality services without regard to race, creed, religion, ethnic group or national origin, gender assignment/identity, sexual orientation, age, economic status, education, marital status, parethood, physical characteristics, physcial ability, special needs or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law.

Our effectiveness is directly attributed to the many volunteers and supporters who join us in serving our community.

As the only State certified domestic violence provider in Kitsap County, YWCA Kitsap provides trauma-informed services to individuals, children, and families.

1 in 3 women experience some form of domestic violence. In Kitsap County, that equates to 32,178 women. Domestic violence is a community problem, affecting all of us. Anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, gender, religion, educational level, or economic status can be a victim - or perpetrator.

YWCA Kitsap County encourages you to join us in advancing justice through volunteering. You can make a difference in the lives of survivors. Kitsap County CAN interrupt the cycle of generational violence.
