As the only State certified domestic violence provider in Kitsap County, YWCA Kitsap provides trauma-informed services to individuals, children, and families.
1 in 3 women experience some form of domestic violence. In Kitsap County, that equates to 32,178 women. Domestic violence is a community problem, affecting all of us. Anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, gender, religion, educational level, or economic status can be a victim - or perpetrator.

Emergency Shelter
- Safe and confidential emergency housing to victims and their children fleeing a dangerous situation due to domestic violence
Supportive Housing
- Transitional housing, long-term housing, and advocacy services
Legal Advocacy
- Assistance and support navigating the civil and criminal justice systems
- Bilingual/bicultural advocacy available
- Monthly legal clinic
Family Advocacy
- Case management and community resource referrals
WorkFirst Program
- Supports families involved with DSHS to overcome employment barriers due to domestic violence
Support Groups
- Offered in English and Spanish at various locations
Education and Community Outreach
- Domestic violence prevention training
- In Her Shoes and In Their Shoes simulation training for adults and teens
- 30-Hour Domestic Violence Core Competency education hosted quarterly for advocates and allied professionals working in the field of domestic violence services
- YWCA presentation available at no cost
