Who We Are

The Task Force is an all volunteer 501 c 3 organization that operates with on a budget of about $10,000 a year. Operation funds come from individual and business contributions, and grants. With the exception of a small percentage of barn renovation work, engineer surveying work, the Clear Creek pedestrian bridge and restroom construction, all project work done to date has been accomplished with volunteers. Over 83,000 volunteer hours have contributed to this project since its inception in 1993.

What We Do

The Clear Creek Project has four major aspects: 1) Stream sensitive trail development 2) Stream preservation, stream restoration and salmon enhancement 3) Restoration and renovation of an historical landmark barn 4) Educating the public through programs and events at the Interpretive Center, trail signs and public outreach.

The Clear Creek Trail, built by volunteers on donated property in Silverdale, continues to be maintained by a grassroots group of volunteers. The Clear Creek Task Force is always expanding the group of trail volunteers by having individuals and organizations adopt sections of the trail. Anyone who would like to help with routine maintenance should give us a call. For information about maintaining the trail, contact the Clear Creek Trail at www.clearcreektrail.org or (360) 434-7665
